Sweet Lamb Shoot
The dragon Awakes!

Conservation
The revival of Sweet Lamb is grounded not only in sport, but in stewardship.
After a period of relative quiet, the estate is now undergoing a careful and considered programme of conservation and land management, designed to restore balance, encourage biodiversity, and support the long-term future of the shoot.
Woodland is being actively managed to improve structure, light, and habitat diversity. Hedgerows and natural boundaries are being restored, strengthening the ecological framework of the estate. Cover crops are being reintroduced with purpose, providing both shelter and feed while enhancing the overall landscape.
This is not short-term work. It is an ongoing commitment.
Wild bird populations are supported through supplementary feeding and carefully managed predator control, ensuring a stable and sustainable environment. Conservation margins and habitat areas are being developed to encourage pollinators and ground-nesting species, adding further depth to the ecosystem.
Initiatives such as bird boxes and habitat creation projects form part of a wider strategy to ensure that Sweet Lamb is not only productive, but thriving.
What makes this work particularly significant is the scale of the estate. There is space here to make meaningful impact, to create a landscape that supports both sporting interests and wider conservation goals.
The aim is clear.
To restore Sweet Lamb to its former standing, not just as a shoot, but as a balanced and sustainable environment that reflects the very best of countryside management. Sweet Lamb operates as a sustainable shooting estate in Wales, with conservation and land management at its core.
